Increasing speed of worksman trike

I recently bought a 2021 worksman etrike. It wasn't running when I bought it but I've since been able to get it going. It uses throttle only and doesn't have pedal assist. My issue is it only does 6mph! I'd like to have it do 15 or 20. It has a worksman/bafang 850 watt front hub, the apt/bafang 850c display and a 48v system. I can't identify if worksman built the speed controller or just put their name on it. I have tried to adjust the speed in the display advanced settings and it makes no difference what I do. Is there any way to get this trike going faster? It's unsafe to ride in my area at such slow speeds. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it!

For me, it was health. I started having balance issues from a medical condition, and riding a regular bike just wasn’t safe anymore.

Tried an eTrike one day and was hooked. Stable, smooth, and fun. It gave me the freedom to ride again without worrying about falling over.

Honestly, one of the best things I’ve done for myself.

It has been a month and a half since I received my Trike. I had a bad battery and contacted the company for help. I was asked several times to send video so they can see my problem. I did sent the video several times. Finally I was told they would send me a new battery. It has been several weeks and no info from them like package sent on this date and no tracking number. I feel like they are waiting me out until I give up. My wife is going to purchase and replacement battery for me. Nice trike to look at. But I can not use it. At this point I am sorry I purchased a Mooncool electric three wheel bike TK pro was my purchase by the

Result: What would cost $2,000 may now be $2,500 or more.

Anyone tried the MoonCool TK1 folding trike?

Saw the MoonCool TK1 folding trike online — looks almost identical to the Lectric XP Trike. Price is about $1,500, but I can’t find much real info on it.

Anyone here actually own or ride one? How’s the build? Does it climb hills okay? I'm a little skeptical since it kind of looks like a factory rebrand, but maybe it’s decent?

Any issues with battery, motor, or getting support?

Would love to hear any real-world feedback if anyone’s tried it.

My story: I work with an organization that offers free trials and low-cost rentals (Chicago, Illinois) for folk to help them decide on the best trike to purchase. 7" rear tires cargo etrike

Not much discussion on this one yet. Rear 750W motor (peaks at 1400W), torque sensor, mechanical brakes. Two 7-inch rear tires — yes, actual sevens, not 4s pretending to be fat.

Axle’s reinforced, rear rack spans almost the full width. Claims 500 lbs total load, 150 lbs just on the rack. Second battery optional, but no listed range even if you add it.

It’s got front suspension, Shimano 7-speed, reverse, turn signals, rear differential, and a fixed seat with backrest.

Single battery version pre-ordering at $3,799. Second battery puts it near $4.5k.

No idea how it rides, but it doesn’t look like it was built for farmers' markets or folding baskets. More like jobsite runs and gravel lots.

5 Common Causes of Brake Noise on Electric Trikes and How to Fix Them

1. Temporary Noise from Rain or Moisture

Symptoms: Squeaking after riding in the rain, washing the trike, or during early morning dew
Fix: Usually disappears after riding on dry pavement for a while — nothing to worry about

2. Contaminated Brake Pads (Oil or Cleaner Exposure)

Symptoms: Constant squealing and reduced braking performance
Fix: Best to replace the brake pads; also check if the rotor has been contaminated

3. Dirty Brake Rotor

Symptoms: Inconsistent noise, sometimes vibrating or humming
Fix: Clean both sides of the rotor using rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth — quick and effective

4. Glazed Brake Pads (Surface Hardened from Overheating)

Symptoms: High-pitched squeal, especially after long downhill braking
Fix: Remove the pads and lightly sand them to expose fresh material

5. Grooved Rotor Surface

Symptoms: Loud, sharp “screaming” noise — almost like a banshee
Fix: Lightly sand the rotor to smooth out any grooves and reduce vibration noise

Hello, I must have bought one of the last of these guys that you sold. I've been quite happy with it have had it almost a year. Biggest problem thus far was one of the mirrors got loose figured that out but I'm looking for maintenance information on the scooter if it exists someplace. This "looks" like it might be a massimo product which is probably what I need to know if I talk to a bike shop local to me here in North Carolina (Jacksonville area 28546) I think I need a bike shop over a mobility scooter shop but there aren't any of those nearby either. Was sorry to see you get away from this product line but I guess it just depends on what you can sell more than anything else.
