Hey everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for an electric trike for my mom, who is recovering from a stroke and would love to get back into outdoor riding. I’d appreciate any suggestions for models or brands that would suit her needs. Below is some background and what I’m looking for:

Background:
My mom is in her 60s and had a stroke a few years ago, which left her with limited movement on her left side. While she’s made great progress in recovery, she still struggles with balance. Recently, she’s expressed interest in riding a trike, especially an electric one, which could help her with stability and allow her to ride longer distances. I’m looking for something that can provide the right amount of assistance, comfort, and stability for her to ride on quiet roads and bike paths.

What I’m looking for:

  1. Electric Assist: I want her to be able to ride longer distances without tiring herself out, so an e-trike with electric assist is ideal.

  2. Comfort and Stability: Since balance is a concern, comfort and stability are top priorities.

  3. For Everyday Riding: It should be suitable for short rides on paved, flat surfaces. No need for a cargo bike—just something for leisurely rides.

  4. Reliable Brand: Looking for something durable and long-lasting.

If anyone knows of any brands or models that fit these needs, or if you have recommendations for places where she can test ride a trike, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
