Sixthreezero ANYterrain 4-Wheel Electric Bike

Sixthreezero ANYterrain 4-Wheel Electric Bike Introduction

This is an exciting update! Today, we’re taking a closer look at the ANYterrain 4-Wheel Electric Bike, which Sixthreezero launched in December 2024. This innovative four-wheeled electric bike breaks away from tradition, offering superior stability and a more reliable riding experience compared to conventional three-wheelers.

Unlike traditional trikes, the ANYterrain features a four-wheel design. The rear is modeled after a classic tricycle, while the front features tilting wheels similar to those on their Two Front Wheel E-Trike. This design provides a broader footprint for enhanced stability, while the leaning geometry allows for more natural turns. Riders will feel an extra level of control, whether navigating around obstacles or making tight turns.

The ANYterrain is powered by a 750W hub motor, providing plenty of power for tackling various terrains. Whether climbing hills or riding on rough dirt paths, the bike ensures a smooth experience. Equipped with a 48V, 20Ah (960Wh) battery, it offers a range of up to 50 miles on a single charge—perfect for daily commutes or short-distance trips. With a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h), it’s on par with many Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes.

The ANYterrain features 4-inch wide knobby tires, designed to handle asphalt, dirt, sand, and snow with ease. The 20-inch rear wheels and 16-inch front wheels provide a low center of gravity for increased stability, while the rear wheels’ differential ensures better traction and power distribution on rough surfaces.

To enhance the riding experience, the ANYterrain is equipped with numerous features aimed at comfort and convenience. The bike offers an ergonomic, upright riding position with a cushioned saddle and adjustable backrest. A reverse function makes maneuvering in tight spaces much easier. The foldable stem allows for reduced height when storing the vehicle, adding to its practicality.

For safety, the ANYterrain is equipped with a hydraulic disc brake system on all four wheels, providing reliable stopping power even at higher speeds. Integrated front and rear lights, along with turn signals, improve visibility, ensuring safe night rides.

With a weight capacity of up to 350 lbs (159 kg), the ANYterrain is designed to accommodate a wide range of riders and cargo. It also features front and rear cargo baskets for carrying groceries or other essentials. If you need to transport a passenger, the rear basket can be swapped for a bench seat, adding even more versatility.

Weighing in at 120 lbs (54 kg), the ANYterrain is on the heavier side compared to most electric bikes and trikes. This may make it less portable.

The ANYterrain Stabilized 4-Wheel Electric Bike is now available for pre-order at a price of $3499.99. Orders are expected to ship starting January 15, 2025.

Etrikeco’s Take on This Model

The Sixthreezero ANYterrain Stabilized 4-Wheel Electric Bike is an intriguing and highly specialized option for riders seeking extra stability, but it certainly doesn’t aim to be a one-size-fits-all solution. While the market for electric bikes and trikes is growing, the ANYterrain carves out a niche for those who feel uncomfortable or unsafe on two-wheeled bikes or traditional three-wheel trikes.

What stands out the most is the tilting front wheels, a feature borrowed from Sixthreezero’s other models. This approach is a solid attempt at combining the stability of a quad with the maneuverability of a leaning mechanism. While this setup can still lead to tipping under sharp turns, the broader footprint and tilting mechanism are likely to make riders feel much more stable than they would on a conventional trike. This is especially important for those who may have felt uneasy about turning at higher speeds with a traditional trike.

On the downside, portability could be a challenge. Weighing in at 120 lbs, it’s not the easiest vehicle to move around, especially if you’re looking to transport it frequently.

The battery life and range of the ANYterrain are promising, with Sixthreezero claiming up to 50 miles on a single charge. Given the large 960Wh battery, it seems reasonable to expect something close to that, though I would personally estimate a minimum of 25-30 miles with regular use.

One area that the ANYterrain may face challenges in is its legal classification. In the United States, federal law defines a “bicycle” as a vehicle with either two or three wheels, which could create legal ambiguity for a four-wheeled e-bike.

However, from a practical perspective, it’s likely that police officers won’t be eager to ticket someone using common sense, especially if they’re an elderly rider cruising along to grab some bread and milk. In many cases, such vehicles may go under the radar as long as they’re being used responsibly.

One thing is clear: Sixthreezero is taking innovation in the electric bike and trike market to a new level. While it’s still early days, I fully expect the ANYterrain and similar models to evolve further and provide even more exciting features down the line.
